IndieStarlight.

A creator-direct storefront and curator network for books, music and film. The storefront is live at app.indiestarlight.com. Being formed as a Wyoming C-corporation headquartered in Lehi, Utah, with an exclusive licence in the creator-marketplace field from PatentInvest LLC.

What it is

Creators sell direct; curators bring buyers

Independent authors, musicians and filmmakers open a storefront, list their work and sell it directly. Curators and influencers bring buyers and earn a commission on what they sell. Every copy delivered carries an invisible watermark and a receipt, so a leaked file can be traced to its purchase. The site is at indiestarlight.com and the app at app.indiestarlight.com.

Season One contests

Rules are published before each window opens. Prizes are paid from the ecosystem fund.

  • Music beta opens 1 November 2026; Film beta opens 1 December 2026.
  • Cash payouts to creators. Earnings accrue as wallet credit today.
  • Terms and Privacy pages on indiestarlight.com.
  • A mobile app. An iOS build is uploaded but not yet released to testers; no store release.

Fees

The fee schedule

Card processing passes through at 2.9% plus $0.30. The platform fee is 10% of gross and is the company’s only revenue line. An ecosystem marketing fund takes a further 10% of gross, is ring-fenced, and pays for the contests. Curators earn a commission of 25%, rising to a cap of 40%. A creator keeps roughly 71% to 75% of an organic sale, and 46% to 50% of a sale a curator brought in. The full schedule is at indiestarlight.com/features/payouts. Intellectual property

The filings behind it

Two provisional applications sit behind IndieStarlight: a content-provenance and anti-piracy system, and a puzzle-game system with provably unique puzzles. PatentInvest licenses them exclusively to IndieStarlight in its field. Details are on the PatentInvest page.

Plan

The next eighteen months

  • Form the company before the first contest prize is paid, and sign the field licence with PatentInvest.
  • Publish Terms and Privacy pages and put the pilot agreement in the company’s name.
  • Build the cash payout rail so creators can withdraw earnings.
  • Run the Season One contests and open the Music and Film betas.
  • Recruit the first cohort of independent authors and curators, then release the mobile app to testers.
